Love the life that your career gives you

Oil and Gas Career and family lifestyle

Are the foundation on which successful lives are established. The lives of yourself, your partner and your siblings that is. An oil and gas industry position could and does involve:

  • Shift/remote work

  • Structured leave

  • Comfortable lifestyle

  • More leisure time

Balancing your life with your career is very different in the 21st century. The basic Monday to Friday 9 to 5 position is reserved for many white collar workers. Whereas the blue collar workers have evolved more into Fly In and Fly Out remote location workers. Although these positions have always been around today’s resource industry has increased their existence.

REMEMBER: “CAREER AND FAMILY LIFESTYLES – ONE DOESN’T WORK WITHOUT THE OTHER”.

Generate the career you want

Successful career progression with Oil and Gas Production Training Services

Can only be obtained through experience. Knowing when to move and when not to move can mean the difference between having an enjoyable career position or a stressful career position.

Two triggers will alert candidates that it is time to move careers and/or positions.

  1. Being able to answer every question put to you about your job and solve all position issues. You are ready to challenge yourself with an upwards move.

  2. When completing your job you are just going through the motions. This non-thinking effort actually places you at risk more then when you first started. You need to stay challenged with YOUR mind on the job.

REMEMBER: “IF YOUR CAREER BALANCES YOUR LIFESTYLE – CONSIDER STAYING PUT”.

Take control of your own development

Networking is an essential part of career development whether your wish to take your career upwards or sideways. Canvassing personnel in future career positions helps find out the position prerequisites i.e. qualifications and/or experience needed to progress. Showing your interest and then taking positive steps towards attaining position requirements are two approaches to set yourself up for success.

Continuous/Self Improvement: Just as companies promote C.I. in their workplace, it is also important for candidates to continually self improve. Learning and development are the two tools used for this self improvement.

REMEMBER: “IT IS WHO YOU KNOW AND WHAT YOU KNOW THAT WILL LEAD TO SUCCESSFUL DEVELOPMENT”.
